Introducing the 2011 Beneteau First 40 – a distinguished sailing yacht that masterfully blends the thrill of racing with the luxuries of cruising. The current owners bought S/V Adventure in the UK and have enjoyed three memorable years with her. During this time, she has sailed from the Netherlands, throughout the Caribbean and now waits for her next exciting voyage in the beautiful Rio Dulce, Guatemala. The vessel has been well cared for, with extensive upgrades and maintenance thoroughly documented by the owners.
The thoughtfully designed interior of this 3-cabin layout was designed by Nauta Design with Alpi blond oak throughout giving the interior a bright and airy ambience. The forward cabin sleeps two comfortably in a double v-berth, with ample storage for clothing and additional space under the bed. The starboard aft cabin also sleeps 2, housing the main battery switches and electronics in a dedicated cabinet. While the port aft cabin is currently utilized for sail storage, it offers versatile space for various needs. There are 12v sockets in all cabins for your convenience. The galley features an ENO 2-burner gimballed stove, complete with a gas bottle and spare, as well as a 40-liter (10.5 gal) refrigerator. The large salon is designed with comfortable, plush upholstery and a foldable table, complemented by stainless steel handgrips for safety and stability. The large chart table features an L-shaped design with a foldable seat, four storage compartments, a main switchboard, VHF, gas detector, and a 12V socket, making it a functional navigation hub. The head has an electric Jabsco marine toilet, new pumps, and plumbing installed in 2023; Includes a shower with a new evacuation pump fitted the same year, and an 80-liter (21 gal) black water tank.
S/V Adventure is powered by a well maintained Yanmar 3JH5E 29 kW (40 hp) diesel engine paired with a Yanmar SD-60 (2017) sail drive. She comes equipped with an impressive set of new sails, including a DCX laminate mainsail, a Pro-Hybrid genoa, a Dacron staysail, and both spinnaker and gennaker with socks. Removable cockpit lockers offer convenience and flexibility, allowing you to customize storage space based on your needs. A Sparcraft mast and rigging setups ensure durability and reliability during your voyages. Self-tailing Harken winches facilitate easy handling of the sails, making it possible for even small crews to manage this boat with ease.
This particular Beneteau First 40 boasts a unique feature: the owners have invested $7,000 in sandblasting, applying three layers of shield coating, and six layers of copper coat. This meticulous attention to detail enhances the boat's durability and longevity, for many years to come.
