S/V Trinity is now for sale! This exceptional 1993 Dean Oceanliner 365 catamaran was crafted by the renowned Peter Dean in South Africa. This vessel boasts robust construction with solid GRP hulls reinforced with glass mat. Its double rigging sets it apart, ensuring safety and stability even in challenging sea conditions, while offering the comforts of a liveaboard lifestyle.
On the interior S/V Trinity has a roomy, well laid out 3 cabin plan with a generous 6.23ft headroom and a 17.72ft beam. The large, comfortable u-shaped settee with folding table in the salon seats many guests. Down a few steps to the portside the galley has ample counter space with plenty of storage throughout and is equipped with a 3-burner propane stove with oven, large sink, a 6.6-gal refrigerator, a 15.85-gal freezer and a water filtration system. The forward cabin is a cozy double suite with a queen berth, ample storage, complemented by large windows, and two overhead hatches. Two additional double berths are located aft on port and starboard. The starboard head features a shower and an electric marine toilet with a newly installed macerator pump.
This vessel is equipped with 2 well maintained 16Hp Yanmar 2GM20 diesel engines with less than 500 hours run time. The sail inventory includes a mainsail with stack pack, a genoa with roller furling, a jib, and a spinnaker – all in good condition. There is no shortage of electronics to help you navigate which includes: a 9” display Raymarine E 10533 chart plotter, Raymarine Smart Pilot autopilot, Wind Navman Wind 3100, Depth Dataline S/D, Furuno radar, Icom IC-m330 VHF radio, Plastimo compass, and a Garmin sat phone.
S/V Trinity is outfitted to go on extended voyages or anchor out long term. She has a 79-gallon fuel capacity and carries 159 gallons of water in 2 tanks with a water maker to keep your tanks replenished. There is 700 watts of solar with a Victron MMPT 150-70 charge controller and an OMNIPOWER inverter charger. The battery house bank has six 150amp gel cell batteries (900amp hours!), plus a new engine start battery. The cockpit has a hard dodger and a dinghy davit pulley system. There is an inflatable dinghy (repairs needed) with a new 8hp Hidea outboard. For ground tackle there is a 44lb (20kg) Delta anchor with 200ft of chain and a manual windlass.
The current owners are selling this vessel with some extra bonuses: fishing gear, two sets of dive equipment (tanks have been serviced), and 1 SUP board and a custom stainless steel BBQ charcoal grill. The bottom paint was just redone in 2024.
