Stepping inside the S/V Twister, you will find a thoughtfully designed interior that maximizes space and comfort. She is a very comfortable 2 cabin layout and sleeps 6. The galley is equipped with a new faucet installed 2024 for the double sinks, a Force 10 two burner stove with oven, a 4cu refrigerator with new compressor installed 2022 and a separate 30-quart freezer new in 2024. The salon is spacious and the L shaped settee to starboard and another settee to port provides plenty of seating. In the aft is a large, cozy double cabin, with the aft head converted to storage. The large walk-in vberth has its own head with shower (new shower pump 2023 and new manual Jabsco toilet 2024). A comfortable new mattress was made, and additional shelving added for more storage in 2019. In 2023 the interior ceiling was redone and all the wiring was completely redone with new LED lighting ensuring a bright and inviting atmosphere.
S/V Twister has been outfitted to go cruising with 670w of solar and a 2000w Renogy inverter. The 400-amp hours lithium batteries with monitor are new in 2024 and there’s also a new separate 800 cc AGM battery for the engine start. There is a Power Survivor 80 water maker to keep the tanks full. This vessel has a nice set of custom davits with block lines. There is also a 10ft fiberglass dinghy and 15hp Mercury engine. On deck, the S/V Twister is equipped with a comfortable cockpit that remains dry, thanks to its full dodger and bimini enclosure. Extra storage is provided with a deck box located at the aft, ensuring you have ample room for all your cruising gear.
This vessel is powered by a well maintained Yanmar 3JH4E 40hp diesel engine with 1500 hrs. All her sails are in good condition: Mainsail is fully battened and includes a stack pack; the headsail is roller furling and the removable staysail is also roller furling. There is a tablet used for navigation, a Raymarine ST60 auto pilot, Standard Horizon GX2150 Matrix + AIS, a Richie compass and an Epirb.
S/V Twister has been well cared for and cruised seasonally throughout the Caribbean. Some important upgrades have been done over the last few years: in 2019 new standing rigging and chain plates were installed, new mast steps, and mast granny bars. Also, the spreader lights were replaced with new LED lights in 2023.
