S/v Lady Athena is now on the market! The 2004 Fountaine Pajot Belize 43 was designed by architect Olivier Flahault and built by Fountaine Pajot in France. There were 130 vessels built from 2000 to 2007. These beautiful, classy vessels were designed for blue-water cruising and living aboard. The Belize 43 is an extremely efficient sailing catamaran and one of the fastest in her class. It is well known for its superior sailing capabilities in all weather, ease of handling and unmatched cruising comfort.
S/v Lady Athena was bought by the current owners in 2014 in Martinique. They have had 10 years of enjoying the cruising life and enjoyed their time aboard, always comfortable and totally self-contained with ongoing regular maintenance. This vessel is truly set up to be off grid so there is no shore power inlet needed. It’s equipped with 5 solar panels totaling 1200 watts, and a Truper 1200-watt inverter that can access both 220v and 110v at the same time. There is also a wind generator as well to keep the 4 gel batteries charged (1200-amp hours total). The very efficient water maker provides 200 liter/hr., of fresh water to fill the water tanks (600-liter capacity in 2 tanks).
On the interior s/v Lady Athena is modern, comfortable and well laid out. She has got a massive amount of space and storage capacity. The salon is spacious with plenty of room for guests. There are 4 large private sleeping cabins, 3 heads (2 electric and 1 manual) with two holding tanks and 2 showers aboard with another 2 showers in the cockpit area. A washing machine is also located in one of the utility rooms. The galley has a propane Eno 3 burner stove with oven which is 6 years old (was replaced with same as originally on board). There is a refrigerator, a freezer and a cooling box for vegetables. The galley water runs on a 12v system.
This vessel is powered by two well maintained 2004 Yanmar 3JH4 diesel engines and there is a 300-liter fuel tank capacity. All sails are in good condition and a stack pack is included. There are 7 self-tailing winches for easy handling. For your navigation needs she is equipped with a Pilot 6001 Raymarine autopilot, a Raymarine C95 chart plotter, Raymarine wind instruments, a Uniden Solard VHF and a windvane. To get you to shore, there is a 9’ Caribe dinghy with a 15hp Yamaha. The owners have also done some upgrades on the exterior, they include: a custom hard top made 7 years ago strong enough to stand on. The single helm seat was changed to a double. The antifouling paint was done 1 year ago and this year a new deck trampoline was brought in from the factory (same as the original).
