S/v Ti-Bag is now on the market! This lovely 1997 Naval Force 3 Tropic 56 (Owner’s version) has been well cared for and is a proven blue water catamaran. These vessels were first produced in 1997 and were designed by naval architect Boudon and built by the Naval Force 3 shipyard, in La Rochelle, France. It is a wood and epoxy construction with polyester hulls.
The current owners bought s/v Ti-Bag in Saint- Martin in 2006 and have taken her on many exciting journeys over the years. They have sailed her throughout the Caribbean, Central and South America, through the Panama Canal twice and cruised the South Pacific. Over the recent years s/v Ti-Bag has been taking shorter trips throughout Central America and other parts of the Caribbean. After 23 great years of sailing the owners have reluctantly decided it’s time to move in a new direction.
S/v Ti-Bag has been outfitted with some important, convenient features to take you on long journeys without needing to take frequent trips to shore. She is equipped with 1500 watts of solar Panels, with an 1800 Watts Xantrex inverter, and a house bank equaling 1200 amp hours of deep cycle gel batteries. There is a portable 2000 watt 220v Honda generator for extra power needs. The Spectra water maker will ensure your water tanks remain full. This vessel holds 400 liters of fresh water in one tank. S/v Ti-Bag is powered by two 1997 Volvo MD-2040 40 hp diesel engines. There are 2 fuel tanks one 300 liter and one 400 liters.
On the interior, she is bright and spacious with beautiful teak and holly floors throughout. The galley is equipped with a large double stainless sink, a propane 4 burner stove with oven, a Danforth refrigerator BD 35 and a Danforth freezer. The galley water runs on 12v and a water filter system runs through the galley tap. Across from the galley is the spacious salon with plenty of seating for many guests and 3 large hatches for maximum air ventilation. This vessel is a 3 sleeping cabins layout with 2 marine electric toilets and a shower in each head. For your convenience there is also a small 7 kilo washing machine on board.
On the exterior, s/v Ti-Bag is set up for easy sailing with 2 manual winches on the mast and 2 electric winches on the helm. The sails are in good condition only 3-4 years old with a stack pack; the main is fully battened, the head sail is a Genoa roller furling, and there is a Gennaker also in good condition. The hydraulic dinghy lift will help to hoist the 10.5ft inflatable aluminum bottom dinghy which is in very good condition with a 15hp Yamaha outboard. This year there have been some important maintenance projects completed: new deck and trunk paint, new anti-fouling and the servicing of the sail drives with new seals.
