Introducing the S/V Jolie Brise II! This 1985 Wauquiez Amphitrite 43 is a blue water cruiser designed for sailors who seek both comfort and stability on the water. These vessels were built between 1975 and 1990, with a total of 138 units crafted by the renowned Henri Wauquiez in France. The Amphitrite 43, designed by the talented Donald Pye, showcases a fin keel with a skeg-mounted rudder and is completely built with fiberglass construction, no balsa core decks!
The Wauquiez Amphitrite 43 features a thoughtfully designed layout, accommodating up to 9 berths, making it perfect for family adventures or entertaining guests. The center-cockpit configuration not only provides a generous 6.5ft of headroom but also ensures a sense of privacy and separation between cabins, enhancing the overall cruising experience.
- Forward Cabin: A cozy V-berth with an infill that easily converts into a spacious double bed, providing comfort for restful nights. The cabin is designed with ample storage options, including lockers and drawers, ensuring that all your essentials are within easy reach. The convenient access to the forward head compartment, which includes an electric marine toilet (installed 2022), sink, and shower, enhances the cabin’s overall appeal.
- Salon: The inviting salon features a U-shaped settee surrounding a large dining table to starboard, complemented by a straight settee to port. Both settees offer additional berths when required, providing flexibility for guests.
- Galley: The L-shaped galley is equipped with double stainless-steel sinks with pressurized water (new pump 2022) with a water filtration system, a Force 10 two-burner gas stove and oven, and a refrigerator/freezer. S/V Jolie Brise II is powered by a well maintained 1985 Perkins 4-154 with 3,500 hours on it. In 2015 a new transmission was installed. Other major engine components (alternator, starter, coolant pump) were redone in 2022. This vessel comes with a Bow thruster for enhanced maneuverability in tight spaces. The mainsail is battened and in fair condition, and the headsail is in good condition and is equipped with furling and canvas. Other convenient features on this vessel include: a Cruise Air 16,000btu air conditioning system in perfect working condition, a portable 1000w Pretul generator (2025) and 2 solar panels (2016) to charge the 4 Group 31 batteries (2022) for your extra energy needs.
