S/v Wysi Lib is up for sale! The Hunter 37 Legend is a 37.5ft fractional sloop designed by Warren Luhrs and built in fiberglass by Hunter Marine Corp. in Alachua, Fl (USA) between 1986 and 1988. S/v Wysi Lib is a midsized, moderate weight vessel designed as both a racer and coastal cruiser. These vessels were built with a solid-fiberglass hull, a balsa-cored deck, and molded interior liners that also incorporated structural components. Under the waterline s/v Wysi Lib has a balanced spade rudder with a shoal-draft bulb fin keel of 4.9ft draft. This vessel is quick and responsive while still maintaining its stability. Due to the high sail area-to-displacement ratio, it is noted that the Hunter Legend 37 performs exceptionally well in light winds with the best point of sail being at a close reach.
As one enters the interior, s/v Wysi Lib has a beautiful teak and holly cabin sole throughout kept in pristine condition. With 6.3ft of head room and a 12.75ft wide beam, she has a roomy 2 cabin layout with plenty of storage throughout. The forward cabin berth sleeps two and has a lovely vanity sink with ample storage. In the salon, the settees on both sides have a lot of storage both on the bottom and behind the back rests. New LED lights with USB ports were installed 2023. The galley to port, is spacious with a double sink and microwave. The refrigerator/icebox has a new compressor and a new evaporator installed in 2023. There is also a Radiant 2 burner propane stove with grill and a new gas line was installed. On the starboard, there is a large nav station with a Horizon VHF radio, a 2023 Raymarine Element chart plotter, and a chair that swings in and out for your convenience. The aft cabin has a large, comfortable walk around berth that sleeps 2 with yet more storage in the two hanging lockers and shelves on both sides. On the starboard side walk-through is a roomy head that is equipped with a manual Jabsco toilet, a sink and a hand-held shower head.
S/v Wysi Lib is equipped with a Yanmar 3GM 30F diesel engine. Both the furling head sail and main sail are in good condition with a new sacrificial edge recently sewn on the Genoa and a new slider put on the main sail. Two new spinlocks and new lazy jacks were installed in 2023 and new manual winches. The cockpit is roomy and is equipped with a heavy-duty stainless arch where the new 280w solar panel rests with room to add another. Both the solar panel and solar controller are new. There is also a pulley system attached to the arch to be used as a hoist.
This vessel has been well maintained with upgrades done over the last 3 years: New gel-coat was done on the full deck with the bottom anti-fouling done, the rudder was refurbished in 2020, the windlass motor was replaced in 2023, and the running water pump and bilge pumps are new in 2023. There are 3 new batteries installed in 2023: House Bank – two 100A gel and Engine Start - one 100A gel battery. For the next fortunate owners, this vessel is also being sold with extra tools and a Honda 2000w generator.
