S/v Agape V is now on the market and prices to sell. This 1983 Niagara 35 is an offshore cruiser, built by Hinterhoeller Yachts in Canada and designed by Canadian naval architect Mark Ellis, who also designed the Nonsuch line. These sailing yachts were built from 1978 to 1995 with 300 built. Owners rate the construction of the Niagara 35 as above-average construction and a good sailor, often citing Hinterhoeller’s reputation as a main reason for purchasing. Her ballast is external lead bolted to a reinforced sump with a long cruising fin. High quality hardware was used, such as Barient (Lewmar) winches, Navtec rod rigging, Atkins & Hoyle hatches and substantial chocks and cleats.
S/v Agape V has a comfortable interior design with an 11.5ft beam and 6’4” of headroom. This Niagara 35 is considered the “Classic” layout with 2 aft berths in a private cabin, (one double and one single), and the salon settee that also expands to a bed, The vberth is called a forepeak, this layout has a workbench, shelves, and plenty of storage space. The galley is equipped with a 3-burner stove with oven and 12-volt refrigeration. The head has a manual toilet with shower.
On the exterior, s/v Agape V has a roomy cockpit with table, 4 winches (2 manual, 2 self-tailing), single handed rigging and a very stout set of davits. For your navigation needs there is a Garmin 7405 chart plotter with Garmin radar and a Raymarine ST 4000 autopilot, windvane and Standard Horizon VHF radio. This vessel has been outfitted with solar panels with MT50 meter with a Moto Master Eliminator mobile digital power inverter 011-1871-4 and 4 large 6v batteries with 2 battery monitors (MT50 remote meter and Xantrax battery monitor).
S/v Agape is powered by a 1983 31hp Westerbeke. Both the main sail with stack pack, and head sail with roller furling are in good condition. The spare main and genoa are in ok condition. The present owners of 5 years are selling this vessel with many extra spare parts and tools. There is also an extra windlass and water pump that has never been installed. The previous owner replaced the shaft and transmission. This boat is in good condition.
